MG Motor India introduces Developer Program and Grant 5.0 in partnership with StartupIndia, Manthan (Office of Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India), DRIIV and technology leaders AWS, Lohum and Exicom Telesystems
MGDP is an innovation program, which aims to encourage developers and innovators, to build new solutions that solve India’s mobility related problems. It is open to students, innovators, inventors, start-ups and other tech companies. The program offers mentorship and recognition to start-ups along with the opportunity to develop projects and work with MG and its consortium partners. So far more than 1450 start-ups and innovators have participated in MGDP over last 4 seasons.
The Theme of MGDP 5.0 is Artificial Intelligence in Electric Mobility.
In recent years, businesses all around the nation have begun to use AI as a critical technology. Startup use of AI has been notable in this environment. By utilizing artificial intelligence and related evolving technologies like NLP, Computer Vision, ML, and DL, several AI-based firms serve the needs of both end consumers and other enterprises. The funding that startups have received in recent years reflects the expansion of numerous AI-powered firms.
AI is electrifying the future of mobility. From optimizing battery use to piloting self-driving cars, AI is transforming every aspect of electric vehicles. It tackles range anxiety by predicting charging needs and maximizing efficiency, enhances safety through advanced driver assistance, and even orchestrates a smarter charging infrastructure. This intelligent revolution promises cleaner air, safer roads, and a seamless driving experience, paving the way for a sustainable transportation future powered by electric dreams and AI smarts.

Fiscal Incentives
1. Access to a grant.
2. Award of grant would be at the sole discretion of program jury, based on their evaluation, on a case to case basis.
3. Terms and conditions applicable.
Non-Fiscal Incentives
1. Specialized, high level mentoring, relevant to practical development of the solution
2. Learning and relevant content for solution and business development
3. Business plan and modelling
4. Provide testing/ lab facility where possible
5. Network with other participants within the program to drive synergy
6. Access to other startup and developer program of consortium members, opening a large opportunity
7. Recognition with PR opportunity for winning startups
8. Opportunity to work with MG on specialized projects
Procedure Post Submission
1. Applicants to submit application online
2. Shortlisted startups would be assigned a mentor to develop their ideas
3. Present the idea on Demo Day (Dates and venue to be announced) to Jury
4. Jury selects winners for grant and recognition
5. Shortlisted companies and winners may also get opportunity to test/ develop their solutions with one of the member companies. This would be decided and enabled by the assigned mentor
