Found in 2010 by Karthik Reddy and Sanjay Nath, Blume Ventures is a venture firm that aims to reimagine startup financing in India. Understanding the disconnect between, local Angel networks and larger global venture capital firms, Blume Ventures has set out to support Indian founders through the entire journey of starting up to scaling up.

The firm aims to invest in those startups that are looking to solve uniquely Indian problems and can build and operate in the Indian subcontinent which is full of different cultural groups and diverse income levels. They believe that even though the solutions are for India, the startups should have aspirations and attitudes that are global and have the potential to be the next wave of global startups emerging out of India.

The venture firm usually invests in seed and pre-Series A funding rounds with investments ranging from Rs 12 to 24 crores. With the new fund, the firm is looking to invest 60-65% in domestic-heavy sectors like healthcare, financial services, commerce and brands, jobs and education, digital media, and gaming. The rest 35-40% will be focused on SaaS, and Deeptech (including Cleantech, manufacturing, and blockchain).

The firm's portfolio comprises start-ups like Jai Kisan, Atomicwork, Cashify, Battery Smart, Ethereal Machines, InTouchApp, and Carbon Clean with exits of companies like E2E Networks, Mettl, Runnr, TaxiForSure, and many more.
