Established in 2016, Social Alpha is built around a not-for-profit platform, Foundation for Innovation and Social Entrepreneurs (FISE), and operates through a nationwide network of technology and business incubation infrastructure, sponsored and supported by Tata Trusts, the Government of India, and several academic, philanthropic and corporate partnerships.

With investment amounts ranging from $500K to $2 million, the platform aims to invest in the seed stage of development in companies belonging to sectors that focus on the CleanTech domain including but not limited to areas like Energy, Waste Management, Agriculture, and Allied sectors.
