About the role:
The Research Associate track is a 3-year tenured program with the Public Markets team of Premji Invest. It is designed to give candidates buy-side exposure across sectors in listed equities space. This is a pre-MBA role and we encourage candidates to pursue MBA/higher studies post this role. This stint will provide diverse exposure in investment management to the candidates.
What you can expect over the next three years:
Each year you will be given opportunity to work with seasoned analysts on particular sectors. Over three years, you will get exposure to multiple sectors and build a good knowledge of fundamental investment strategies, and new age approaches to investments.
Your work will involve:
• Building and maintaining financial models of companies in the portfolio and investment pipeline
• Supporting the analysts in making investment memos, review decks and other communication
• Developing innovative data sources and analysis using coding techniques
• Conducting periodic channel checks, bespoke research
• Attending sell side and other analyst calls
Prior candidates from this course have gone on to graduate from prestigious schools like Wharton, LBS etc.
Over the three years, the firm will invest in your professional development and personal growth. You will also build an appreciation of how investment strategies can be purposefully channeled to enable philanthropy.

Location: Bangalore (there is no work from home)
Profile:
• Education: B.E/ BCom/ CA from top tier institutes
• Experience: 12-18 months in sell side or buy side financial services firm/ consulting firms. 3-4 years of total work experience would be ideal.
• Skills: Excel proficiency, strong analytical and financial modelling skills, Python, VBA, ability, and willingness to handle the rigor of investment management
