About the show
Shark Tank India is a groundbreaking reality TV show that has revolutionized the Indian startup ecosystem. The show offers Indian entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch their ingenious business ideas to a panel of esteemed investors, known as “Sharks.” The show airs on Sony Entertainment Television and is streamed on Sony Liv. We are currently preparing for the highly anticipated fourth season of the show, and we want you to be a part of this exhilarating journey!
Your mission
As an Analyst, you will be part of the Business and Ventures team and ensure the selection and due diligence of startups and companies from all over the country. You will meet many inspiring entrepreneurs and startups, build knowledge on numerous industries and shape your own convictions. Through your detailed analysis of products, technologies, business plans, markets and competitive landscapes, you will empower our senior leadership and help us make fast and correct selection decisions. What you will do
· Source the next Indian entrepreneurial success stories by actively participating in the selection process (assessing forms, conducting in-person auditions while traveling to various vibrant cities across the country with the team, etc)
· Conduct due diligence on the selected companies: technology and product assessment, evaluation of competitive landscapes, etc
· Support the creative team with any business – related queries that may arise throughout the entire journey of season 4
Your background
· You have a strong academic record. A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field or an MBA would be a significant advantage
· You have relevant (0 – 2 years) experience working in a startup, strategy consulting, investment banking or venture capital. Current bachelors/masters students are also welcome to apply for internships. This role can be considered as your summer internship
· You have strong analytical skills, and are reliable, hard-working and autonomous
· You have excellent written and oral communication skills, with capacity and experience to translate research findings into valuable recommendations for the team
· You display a professional attitude and the highest levels of ethics, integrity and confidentiality, and a burning passion for startups, entrepreneurship, and making a positive impact on the world through innovation
· You are fluent in English and Hindi
· An established network in the Indian entrepreneurship ecosystem is a plus
