Venture Capital Internship – Pi Ventures

At pi Ventures, we invest in early-stage startups building breakthrough solutions in AI, advanced materials, biotechnology, spacetech, and other frontier technologies. Our focus is on backing founders solving complex, high-impact problems through deep science and engineering innovations. Think – Agnikul, Pixis, Wysa, Silence Labs, Ahhamune, Clean Electric, Quanfluence – our portfolio spans across vastly different domains pushing technological boundaries.

The pi Fellowship is a unique opportunity for those looking to transition into venture capital with a focus on deeptech. Over a period of minimum 3 to 6 months (extendable), Fellows work closely with the investment team, gaining hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of venture investing, from meeting early-stage founders and evaluating emerging technologies to participating in live deals and shaping investment decisions. In the past, 3 of our team members have come through pi Fellowship.

This is a stipend based role with the possibility of converting into a permanent position at pi Ventures.

What You’ll Do :

• Deal Sourcing : Find visionary founders and explore breakthrough ideas before they hit the mainstream
• Deal Evaluation : Dive deep into emerging technologies and assess markets where data is sparse and first principles thinking is key
• Investment Execution : Work alongside the pi team on live deals, helping move investments from conviction to close
• Build the Deeptech Community : Help us grow and nurture a vibrant ecosystem of founders, scientists, and builders

Who Should Apply :

• You bring 3–10 years of deeptech investing and/or engineering/product development experience
• You’re fluent in the language of technology – whether through an engineering degree or hard-won experience
• Startup life excites you; having been a founder or early team member is a big plus
• You’re analytical, intellectually curious, and don’t mind questioning assumptions
• Above all, you’re passionate about the kind of innovation that moves humanity forward

Fellowship Details :

• Duration: 3–6 months (with the potential to convert into a full-time role)
• Location: Bangalore | Hybrid
