This integrated approach provides long-term, hands-on support across the full lifecycle of a company.

The Position: H/L seeks an enthusiastic, innovative, and dedicated Venture Fellow for a paid, part-time, project-based position. The role involves assisting in the first-line evaluation of start-ups, the due diligence process, and supporting existing portfolio companies.

Areas of Responsibilities:

  1. Conducting due diligence, financial modeling, and general market research.
  2. Reviewing business plans, financial models, and other materials of potential candidate companies.
  3. Taking part in phone screens and meetings during the due diligence process.
  4. Producing internal memos and diligence reports on candidate companies.
  5. Assisting in projects, analysis, and other value-add work for existing portfolio companies.

Preferred Experience:

  1. Demonstrated exposure to venture capital or startup investing, with a focus on due diligence, underwriting, or market research.
  2. Experience evaluating early-stage companies — including business models, competitive landscapes, and market sizing.
  3. Familiarity with writing investment memos or similar analysis.
  4. Background in VC, accelerator programs, investment banking, strategy consulting, or startup operations is a plus.

Key Traits: The ideal candidate will be professional, hard-working, proactive, and a critical thinker. They must possess a strong work ethic, a positive team-player attitude, and excellent organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications:

  1. Excellent academic performance; at least a Bachelor’s Degree.
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; facility with Pitchbook and other research tools is helpful.
