Venture Capital Job – Analyst / Associate – M Venture Partners (MVP)

About M Venture Partners (MVP): M Venture Partners (MVP) is a Singapore-based early-stage venture capital firm investing in technology companies across India and Southeast Asia. We are expanding our presence in India and are looking for a highly motivated Associate to join us in Bangalore. This is a full-time, on-the-ground role that will play a critical part in sourcing new investments, supporting portfolio companies, and shaping MVP’s footprint in the region.

The Role: The ideal candidate brings strong analytical abilities, an instinct for founders, deep familiarity with the Indian start-up ecosystem, and the drive to operate autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Sourcing & Ecosystem Engagement:

1. Build strong outbound sourcing channels through relationships with VCs, angels, accelerators, universities, and ecosystem partners.

2. Actively represent MVP in the Indian start-up community, attending events, meeting founders, and building a differentiated sourcing network.

Investment Evaluation & Execution:

1. Evaluate early-stage companies through market analysis, competitive mapping, product assessment, and founder evaluation.

2. Lead and support deal execution, including diligence, risk assessment, financial model review, and drafting/negotiating term sheets.

3. Write clear, concise investment memos for Investment Committee review.

4. Maintain and improve the deal-flow database and internal investment processes.

Portfolio Support:

1. Build strong working relationships with founders post-investment.

2. Support portfolio companies with strategic input, research, and targeted assistance.

3. Monitor financial and operational performance and participate in quarterly portfolio reviews.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree or higher.

2. 2–4 years of professional experience in a fast-paced, analytical, or entrepreneurial environment (e.g., VC, consulting, startups, product, banking).

3. Strong investment toolkit, including market research, financial modelling interpretation, and memo writing.

4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

5. Demonstrated ability to operate independently and prioritize amidst ambiguity.

6. Strong network and on-ground understanding of the Indian start-up landscape.
