Venture Capital Job – Analyst (Investments) – BlackHill Fund

About the Fund: BlackHill Fund I is a SEBI-registered Category II Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) and a growth fund employing both PE and VC strategies. It invests INR 40-80 crore in each portfolio company, supporting entrepreneurs in consumer, food, healthcare, sustainability, and financial services in the middle stages of growth.

About the Role: BlackHill is looking to onboard one Analyst for its investment team. The role will involve intensive research, deal origination, financial modeling, and portfolio monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Intensive research of the focus areas of the fund.
2. Deal origination and evaluation.
3. Tracking of market trends and developments.
4. Building of detailed financial models for business and investment decision-making.
5. Preparation of deal documents such as Investment Memorandums and Term Sheets.
6. Portfolio monitoring, scale-up strategies, and MIS data analytics.

What We Are Looking For:

1. A good investment track record in PE/VC (this gets high weightage).
2. 3-7 years of relevant working experience in venture capital/private equity investments at leading funds (profiles with experience in the INR 40-80 crore investment range or higher will be preferred).
3. Strong networking skills and research capability.
4. Strong academic credentials (preferably MBA/PGDM) from top-tier institutions.
5. Prior experience in BlackHill’s focus areas would be a plus.
6. High degree of attention to detail and comfort in handling ambiguity.
