Venture Capital Job – Associate / AVP – India SME Investments

Company Overview: India SME Investments is a SEBI-registered AIF-II Private Equity fund with offices in Mumbai and Bengaluru. The fund focuses on providing growth capital to businesses across a broad range of sectors, including Consumer, Financial Services, Industrials, Healthcare, Retail, and Technology. Since its inception in 2019, the firm has built a portfolio of over 18 companies and is currently investing from its Fund II.

The Opportunity: We are hiring for two positions to join our investment team in Mumbai: Associate and Assistant Vice President (AVP).

Your Key Responsibilities:

1. Assess investment opportunities across a wide range of sectors.
2. Perform detailed financial, operational, and market analyses to evaluate potential investments.
3. Prepare investment notes, financial models, investor presentations, and other supporting documents.
4. Assist the team in performing due diligence on target companies.
5. Build and manage a pipeline of potential investment opportunities through proactive research and networking.
6. Monitor, analyze, and report on the performance of portfolio companies.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

1. For Associate: 2+ years of front-end Investment Banking experience.
2. For AVP: 3+ years of front-end Investment Banking experience.
3. Strong analytical skills with a solid understanding of financial statements.
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
5. Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
