BUILDING CROSS-BORDER TECHNOLOGY VENTURES AT SCALE
Indusbridge Ventures (IBV) is an investment fund with a focus on Aerospace and Defence (A&D) and dual-use technology. Founded by an international team with decades of operational and investment experience in the global A&D sector, IBV invests in and builds cross-border ventures in these strategic sectors and actively supports portfolio companies with cross-border go-to-market helping them scale and succeed in the international markets.
Role Summary:
As an Associate, you will play a pivotal role in evaluating and executing investment opportunities, working closely with entrepreneurs, and contributing to the growth of pioneering startups in aerospace, defense, and related deep-tech domains. This position requires strong analytical capabilities, sector knowledge, and a passion for technological innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Sourcing & Pipeline Management:
Identify high-potential startups and evaluate opportunities aligned with IBV’s investment thesis.
Build and maintain relationships with founders, academic institutions, and research organizations.
Due Diligence & Analysis:
Perform comprehensive due diligence, including technical feasibility, market analysis, and financial evaluation.
Collaborate with domain experts to assess the scalability and defensibility of emerging technologies.
Investment Execution:
Prepare and present investment proposals and detailed investment memos for the internal investment committee.
Assist in structuring deals, negotiating terms, and closing investments.
Portfolio Engagement:
Support portfolio companies by providing strategic insights, identifying partnerships, and enabling scale-up initiatives.
Monitor key metrics to track company performance and recommend actionable solutions when needed.
Research & Thought Leadership:
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments in aerospace and defense.
Contribute to thought leadership by publishing sector insights and sharing perspectives on industry developments.
Qualifications & Skills
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, or business; advanced degrees in engineering, MBA, or related fields are a plus.
Experience:
3-4 years in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or strategy consulting, with exposure to deep-tech or defense sectors.
Skills:
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship-building capabilities with internal/external stakeholders.
A proactive mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Demonstrated ability to own tasks, coordinate effectively, follow through, and drive tasks to completion.
Ensures accuracy and thoroughness in work.
