Venture Capital Job – Associate – Impact Investors Council

The Impact Investors Council (IIC) is the industry body for impact investing in India. Our mission is to build a robust and inclusive ecosystem that enables the flow of private capital for social and environmental good. We engage with domestic and global investors, policymakers, and enterprises to drive systemic change through research, advocacy, programs, and partnerships.

Responsibilities: As an Associate at the Impact Investors Council (IIC), the candidate will be expected to contribute across a range of strategic and operational functions, including:

1. Publications: Contribute to the design, research, and development of sectoral and thematic publications, including trend reports and investment landscape studies. Responsibilities include primary and secondary research, stakeholder interviews, and data analysis.
2. Policy: Support IIC’s policy and advocacy efforts by preparing consultation papers, conducting regulatory research, and coordinating engagements with government stakeholders.
3. Programs: Assist in conceptualizing and executing events, masterclasses, workshops, and convenings. This includes speaker outreach, content planning, and logistics.
4. Partnerships: Engage with ecosystem stakeholders including investors, DFIs, and philanthropic foundations to build and manage strategic partnerships and increase IIC’s membership base.
5. General Administration: Provide operational and administrative support to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the organization.
6. CEO’s Office: Work closely with the CEO’s office to support high-level institutional priorities, including preparation of strategic briefs, board presentations, and external communications.

Required Skills & Competencies:

1. Strong analytical and research capabilities
2. Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a dynamic team environment
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Canva, or similar tools is a bonus

Candidate Requirements:

1. Bachelors in Economics, Development Studies, Public Policy, Business, or a related field.
2. Candidates with a Chartered Accountant (CA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) background are also encouraged to apply.
3. 1-2 years of prior experience in research, consulting, development sector, policy, or investing.

Compensation & Benefits: Compensation will be according to impact sector standards and commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
