What we’re looking for :
If you want to work with a set of smart and driven individuals to find outstanding founders, then this role is for you. Identify and partner with the next Freshworks, Postman or Moengage and get a ringside view of how companies scale from scrappy startups to enduring companies.
We are looking for Senior Associate / VP OR Principal who can help us understand markets, spot
future trendlines, find rock-star founders, evaluate opportunities, invest in great companies and
manage our growing SaaS portfolio.
We believe the perfect candidate has prior operating experience at early stage SaaS companies, and has a technical degree or is unafraid to dig intro everything from vertical SaaS to devops to ML infra.
Designation : Associate/AVP
• 4-8 years’ experience
• SaaS operating company’s background – experience in Product OR Strategy roles
• US experience or education is a plus

Competency to evaluate :
Thesis
* Conduct extensive (primary/secondary) research on various markets to identify areas to invest in
*Study global trends, identify what you can learn from those markets and how is that applicable to IndiaNetwork
* Build your network and meet executives in key bellwether companies in your sectors, angel
investors, and other founders
* Identify and network with experts in the ecosystem who could help you refine your thesis
* Identify high-potential executives who you would like to back if they start up in the future
Sourcing
* Find interesting founders and companies in your focus sectors
* Meet angel investors and the founders of their invested companies
* Be the first point of contact, representing Matrix in meetings with founders
Portfolio Management
* Assist senior investment team members in day to day portfolio management
* Assist in preparing and monitoring monthly MIS
* Assist in preparing Annual Operating Plans
* Participate selectively in Board Meetings
* Help the founders take key strategic decisions
* Help in business development
*Identify candidates who could join as senior members of the portfolio company
* Assist the company in preparing for follow-on rounds of funding – assist in preparing pitch decks, business plans, etc.
Deal closing
* Assist senior investment team members to consummate the investment.
* Help in deal negotiation. e.g. price/valuation, terms
* Help prepare the term sheet * Assist in financial/accounting and legal diligence
