Role Overview:
As the CFO, you’ll oversee fund management and portfolio support, collaborating with the Investment Team to drive successful deal closures and manage strategic aspects of the fund portfolio. With 15-20 years of experience in corporate accounting and finance, you’ll leverage your expertise in tax jurisdictions, compliance, and venture capital processes to enhance fund performance and efficiency.
Fund Management:
– Work closely with the Investment Team to drive successful deal closures.
Portfolio Support:
– Oversee strategic aspects of our fund portfolio.
– Navigate and comply with current and emerging administrative jurisdictions and regulatory requirements.
– Provide guidance to Partners on the impact of new regulations related to fund structures.
– Manage exit strategies for portfolio companies, including M&A, Secondary Sales, or IPOs.
– Lead the fund accounting team in preparing periodic NAV calculations, year-end financial statements, and handling audits and taxes.
– Perform periodic valuations of portfolio companies and review fund performance.
– Develop fund-level dashboards, models, and LP reports.
– Handle all capital calls, capital account statements, and management fee calculations.
– Manage accounting processes for secondary sales, trust transfers, and legal opinions.
– Maintain relationships with key service providers for fund management.
– Enhance process efficiency.
– Act as a thought leader and build relationships with other private equity funds to identify and implement best practices.
Investment Team Collaboration:
– Negotiate term sheets and shareholder agreements (SHA) with new portfolio companies.
– Oversee due diligence processes, working with tax and legal service providers to ensure efficient transaction closures.
– Develop innovative approaches for various transaction types.
Portfolio Engagement:
– Provide strategic advice and financial best practices to portfolio company founders and CFOs.
– Review legal and financing documents for new funding rounds, M&A, and secondary sales.
– Assist with company registrations across different domains.
Experience Requirements:
– 15-20 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting, consulting, and finance.
– Deep understanding of tax jurisdictions, compliance requirements, and deal structures, especially for liquidation events.
– Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
– Experience with early-stage to growth companies and a passion for startups.
– Familiarity with venture capital processes.
– Strong network-building skills with business partners, including legal, finance, and diligence firms, particularly in the US and India.
– Leadership skills to mentor startup founders by influence.
– Experience with regular reporting requirements and financial modelling.
– Excellent analytical and communication skills.
