About VCMint: VCMint is a founder-led fund backing venture-scale startups with private capital—fueling bold ideas and resilient founders at the earliest stages. We typically write $100k–$200k cheques at seed/early stages and selectively participate in growth opportunities. Role Overview: The Chief Investment Officer (CIO) is VCMint’s investing engine—owning the funnel from sourcing, evaluation, and diligence to execution and portfolio support. You’ll craft theses, build a high-quality deal pipeline, run rigorous evaluations, and activate our advisor network to help portfolio founders win. You’ll work day-to-day with the founding partners, keeping the cadence fast, founder-friendly, and operationally sharp.

What You’ll Do:

1. Sourcing & Thesis: Build and maintain a quality pipeline across seed and later-stage deals; develop and refresh thematic theses in areas like fintech, SaaS, and consumer internet.
2. Evaluation & IC Prep: Run fast screens and deep dives on potential investments, build financial models, and draft crisp Investment Memos for the Investment Committee.
3. Diligence Leadership: Define diligence scope and manage external partners for Legal, Financial, and Tech Due Diligence.
4. Transaction Execution: Support term sheet design, valuation rationale, and coordinate with counsel on definitive documentation.
5. Portfolio Support: Onboard each company into VCMint’s advisor network, track portfolio health, and prepare cases for follow-on investments.

Ideal Profile:

1. An ex-founder/operator or investor with meaningful deal evaluation experience, comfortable spanning seed to growth stages.
2. A credible network across founders, angels, and operators, especially within India (Hyderabad is a plus).
3. A strong grasp of unit economics, SaaS metrics, and paths to profitability.
4. Hands-on experience with due diligence (LDD/FDD) and the ability to pressure-test assumptions.
5. A structured writer, fast modeler (Excel/Sheets), and organized operator with a founder-friendly communication style.

Compensation & Setup:

1. Competitive base salary plus a performance bonus.
