About the Firm:

Stellaris Venture Partners (www.stellarisvp.com) is an early-stage venture capital firm based out of Bangalore, India. They invest in companies at the seed / Series A stage that use technology as a core part of their business model. Their current portfolio includes companies like Whatfix, Mamaearth, Orbitshift.ai, Carpl.ai, Propelld, Kiwi, and Lumio among others.

About the Role:

Stellaris is seeking an analytical and highly organized Chief of Staff to support a Partner who invests in SaaS, AI, developer tools, and deep tech. This role is designed for a motivated individual looking to gain experience in venture capital before pursuing an MBA, a startup opportunity, or a role within one of their portfolio companies.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Program Management:
   • Oversee and manage various initiatives led by the Partner across portfolio, investment thesis development, network management, and internal firm initiatives.
   • Manage and follow up on the Partner’s to-dos on these initiatives.
   • Coordinate and manage multiple stakeholders across the firm, portfolio founders, and LPs to take projects to completion.
2. Research:
   • Conduct research on market trends, new investment areas, market mapping, and competitive analysis for portfolio companies and prospective investments.
   • Prepare reports and presentations to communicate the results of such research to internal and portfolio teams.
3. Portfolio interventions:
   • Work with the partner to identify areas where they can add value to each portfolio company.
   • Manage and take each project to conclusion by working with the Partner, other teams within Stellaris, and external networks.
4. Content:
   • Write articles, create presentations, and other content formats to put the Partner’s investment theses in the public domain.
5. Networking:
   • Help the partner widen and deepen their network in the industry and India’s broader startup and tech ecosystem.

Qualifications:

1. Experience: 2-4 years of business experience, preferably in Product, Software Development, consulting, program management, or another analytical field. Experience working with and managing multiple stakeholders is a must. While this position is conceptualized for the younger professional, more experienced people are welcome to apply.
2. Experience working in either a Deeptech, AI, SaaS, or Dev tools space would be ideal.
3. Education: Bachelor’s degree in any analytical field – engineering, science, or business. MBA optional.

Career Path:

This is a limited-time role for 2-3 years that will give the candidate an overview of the startup landscape and the venture capital industry. It will provide the candidate with learning opportunities through apprenticeship, shadowing, and informal mentoring. The role is intended as a stepping-stone for individuals aiming to pursue an MBA, launch their own startup, or transition into a strategic role within one of their portfolio companies.
