Position Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Compliance Officer to join our team. This role will focus on managing compliance and operational aspects related to investment vehicles and activities concerning the Investment Managers of our Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs). The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in structuring and compliance across various investment vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with SEBI regulations and legal frameworks for Category 2 AIFs.
- SPVs & Entity Management: Oversee formation and governance of Special Purpose Vehicles (SPVs) ensuring regulatory adherence.
- Reporting: Manage timely legal and financial reporting to regulators and stakeholders.
- Risk & Controls: Implement financial controls and risk management strategies to mitigate operational and legal risks.
- Legal Advisory: Provide strategic legal and compliance guidance on fund operations and investment decisions.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with internal teams, investors, and regulators to address compliance issues effectively.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Professional degree in Law, Accounting, Corporate Law, or a related field (advanced degrees preferred)/ Certifications such as LLB, CPA, CFA, CA, or equivalent.
- Experience: 5+ years in managing fund compliance, and legal operations in the financial services or investment management industry.
- Skills:
- Deep understanding of SEBI regulations, AIF structures
- Proven ability to implement and manage financial controls and mitigate legal risks.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
