Position: Finance and Compliance Manager
Location: Gurugram
Qualification: Chartered Accountant with 3-4 years of experience, ideally in a similar role in any fund. CS will be an added advantage.
Job Description :
1. Financial Reporting and Budgeting:
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for accounting and people related policies.
- Maker – Checker role – Liaise with outsourced accounting service providers to ensure accuracy, timeliness and quality of accounting and reporting.
- Ensure integrity and completeness of financial accounts, transaction processing, reconciliations, and operating processes and policies.
- Take ownership of end-to-end processes by coordinating with the fund management team, outsourced vendors and other internal teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Manage budgeting and financial reporting processes for fund and other entities.
- Monitor cash flow and manage expenses for fund and other entities.
- Review all month-end and year-end closing activities, including finalization of accounts.
- Oversee preparation and timely filing of all direct and indirect tax returns.
- Carrying out Audits of the fund and other entities as well as tax compliances.
- Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes affecting AIFs.
2. Transaction Support:
- Provide support to the investment team in deal closures including review of diligence report.
- Managing the closing of transactions, ensuring closing documentation and actions are carried out as per agreements.
- Provide support to investment team in procuring and preparing MIS of investee companies and other portfolio management activities.
3. Compliance:
- Liaise with outsourced service provider for regulatory compliances of the Fund, the Investment Manager and the Sponsor.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations including Companies Act, LLP Act, FEMA, SEBI Regulations, Labor laws, Income Tax, GST, etc.
- Create regulatory compliance documents.
- Facilitate board meetings, prepare agendas, minutes, and resolutions.
- Monitor compliance against PPM and all internal policies, code of conduct, etc
4. Investor Relations:
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for investor onboarding and servicing.
- Preparation of investor-related communications and documentation, such as quarterly reports, and press releases.
- Respond to investor inquiries promptly and provide necessary clarifications.
