Job Description – Finance & Operations Associate
Location: In-office (Gurgaon, India)
Type: Full-time | Immediate start
About the Role
We’re hiring a Finance & Operations Associate to join our lean, high-performance team and work directly with fund leadership. This is a high-ownership, cross-functional role that spans finance, compliance, reporting, and fund ops across both India and the US.
We’re looking for an early- to mid-career professional — who’s excited to take on meaningful responsibilities from day one and grow into a leadership role within the fund over time.
What You’ll Own
Finance & Compliance
- Lead financial projections and cash flow planning for the fund and its managers
- Manage capital accounts, NAVs, allocations, and fund admin coordination (India + US)
- Own the compliance calendar across the US and India
- Work closely with accountants, fund administrators, and legal counsel
- Liaise with auditors and drive quarterly & annual financial statements
- Ensure timely tax and regulatory compliance (Form ADV, FATCA, etc.)
Reporting & Dashboards
- Build and maintain internal dashboards (IRR, TVPI, DPI)
- Lead internal and external reporting and forecasting workflows
- Track portfolio-level KPIs (burn, runway, etc.)
Operations & Strategic Support
- Collaborate with leadership to optimization of systems, controls, and automation
- Support FDD and documentation for new investments
- Contribute to special projects to enhance overall fund operations
What We’re Looking For
- Trustworthy, loyal, and discreet — you’ll be working with sensitive, high-stakes data
- A meticulous planner with OCD-level attention to detail
- Prior experience in finance, operations, or compliance (preferably with cross-border exposure)
- Brings a point of view and the rigour to grow quickly within the fund
- This is ideal for someone with 2–4 years of experience looking to take the next big step
- Bonus: exposure to VC/PE, fund admin, or portfolio company operations
