Venture Capital Job – Founding Team Member – Inuka Capital

Inuka Capital is an operator-led venture fund founded by Gautam Shewakramani and Raj Sheth. Inuka invests in pre-seed and seed stage companies in India with check sizes ranging from ₹2 crore to ₹ 3.5 crores.

We’re looking for our first full-time team member to join us, preferably based in Bangalore. You’ll work directly with the two GPs.

This role will give you plenty of autonomy — and responsibility, and will give you a chance to grow with the firm in an environment similar to joining a startup.

About You

Adding you to our team will result in the following (in order of importance):

• More high quality founders and potential founders will know about Inuka Capital, the GPs and what it’s like to partner with us
• More high quality founders will want to speak to us about partnering before they start raising money or early in their fundraising process
• More of our peer pre-seed VC firms will want to co-invest with us
• More seed stage VC firms will know about our portfolio and will want to track our investments
• More non-founders in the startup ecosystem will want to work with our portfolio companies

While we have some ideas on how you can accomplish the above, we’d look to you to:

• figure out how to accomplish this (with our support)
• execute on the plan you’ve come up with

We believe that while working with us you will end up:

• Spending the majority of your time meeting startup founders in 1:1 and 1 to many environments
• Developing or honing your instinct to distinguish between raw potential, ambition, facts, and creative storytelling
• Helping us build our personal and firm brand in the startup ecosystem
• Developing or honing your skill to articulate your thoughts on industries, companies, business models and founders – verbally and in written form
• Building your own personal brand

We also believe that the person who will be most successful in this role will have the following attributes (we’d be happy to be proven wrong here):

• Has spent 2-3 years working on a high growth start up either as an early employee or a founder and has an existing network of start up founders and potential founders
• Enjoys speaking with and helping people, and has a strong pay it forward mentality
• Is considered high agency and respected by their peers
• Likes bringing people together, whether 1:1 or 1 to many
• Is based in Bangalore and has been living there for at least the past 2 years
