Position Description :

We are looking to hire a core team member responsible for ensuring the organization’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations and managing end-to-end relationships with existing and potential Limited Partners (LPs) in India and outside. The role would also include driving pre- and post-capital commitment activities for individual and institutional investors.

Fund Accounting : Oversee all financial accounting and operations of the fund, including tax planning and audits to ensure regulatory adherence and accurate financial reporting.

Fund Administration and Compliance : Develop and maintain the mandatory policies and design relevant SOPs to operationalize compliance procedures across fund

Fund Investor Relations : Design and execute investor relations strategies to expand engagement with LPs including co-investments, portfolio mentorship, and other synergies.

– Liaison with external stakeholders (i.e. trustees, regulators) to monitor and deliver periodic reportings including investor-related data.

– Seek and obtain all regulatory licenses and approvals required for the fund’s operations.

– Manage engagement with outsourced service providers ensuring timely deliverables.

– Create factsheets, presentations, quarterly/annual reports on portfolio milestones, portfolio performance, and any other key events for investor reporting.

– Attend various events and conferences aligned with fund focus areas.

– Execute a seamless process for timely communication and response to investor queries.

Qualifications :

A successful candidate will have the following attributes :

– Chartered Accountant with 2-4 years of experience in managing compliances for the Venture Capital funds/AIFs.

– A law degree or Company Secretaryship would be a plus but not mandatory.

– Exceptional attention to detail, a high level of numerical accuracy, and a strong analytical mindset is essential to this role.

– Experience dealing with government organizations and relevant regulatory stakeholders.

– Basic understanding of policies such as Insider Trading, Anti-Money Laundering, etc.

– Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and good analytical skills.

– Proficiency in information sharing and communication tools including spreadsheets, presentations, and other financial databases.

– Ability to build effective and mutually beneficial trusting relationships.
