We are seeking a passionate Investment Analyst to join our team, primarily focused on identifying, analyzing, and driving investments in the gaming and eSports sectors. The Analyst will also play a critical role in evolving the investment theses, building and assessing a pipeline of high-potential companies, and monitoring portfolio performance to maximize returns. The ideal candidate needs to have an understanding of gaming and emerging tech trends in the industry, and a strong foundation in finance, analytical skills, and strategic thinking.
Job Description
Building and developing an Investment Pipeline
- Source and develop a pipeline of investable companies that fits the funds thesis for gaming and eSports
- Conduct rigorous research and financial analysis on potential investment targets, evaluating market potential, product viability, and leadership strength.
- Evaluate game metrics, create financial models to assess business potential, revenue projections, and risk profiles, aiding decision-making for investment opportunities.
Monitoring the Investment Portfolio
- Prepare and present regular updates on portfolio company performance, market conditions, and key financial metrics for the gaming sector.
- Responsible for the Investment Thesis. Maintain and evolve the investment thesis for the gaming and eSports sectors, identifying key segments, trends, and high-growth geographies.
- Continuously monitor shifts within the gaming industry—new technologies, evolving consumer behavior, regulatory developments, and competitive landscapes—to refine and adapt the thesis over time.
- Pinpoint investable opportunities aligned with the thesis, focusing on emerging technologies, innovative platforms, and growth sectors within gaming.
Others
- Stay up-to-date with evolving venture capital, gaming, and eSports industry dynamics, relating to investment trends, competitor activity, and global market developments.
- Build own network with gaming accelerators / companies, founders, publishers, advisors, investors and funds investing in gaming and eSports sectors.
- Contribute to thought leadership initiatives by participating in conferences, industry research, producing insights for podcasts, social media, and articles, or developing knowledge-sharing presentations on behalf of Centre Court Capital.
Required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or in a strategy role within gaming or digital entertainment.
- Demonstrated passion for the gaming and eSports industries, with an understanding of market dynamics and consumer trends.
- Strong analytical, financial modeling, and valuation skills, with a high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of crafting insights and sharing industry knowledge.
