Venture Capital Job – Investment Analyst (PE/VC) – Sharrp Ventures | Harsh Mariwala Investment Office

Sharrp Ventures is a multi-asset class investment firm with exposure across listed equities, unlisted companies, and private equity funds primarily in India and USA. The firm manages the proprietary capital of the Harsh Mariwala family – the founding family of Marico Ltd, one of India’s most well-respected FMCG companies with a market cap of ~$8.5Bn. With deep networks across the entrepreneurial ecosystem, Sharrp invests long-term patient capital and supports its portfolio companies through multiple stages of their growth and evolution. Role description: Work alongside the investment team to identify and invest in suitable opportunities in the VC/PE space in India. Responsibilities include:

• Assist in sourcing and evaluating new investment opportunities along with the senior investment team in the firm’s sectors of preference
• Driving meaningful research into sectors of interest, supporting the formulation of investment thesis, and tracking market data and trends for actionable insights
• Supporting the investment team in due diligence and assisting in post-investment monitoring of portfolio companies where required
• Preparing financial models and maintaining other relevant deal team documentation
• Tracking of portfolio company MIS reports and presenting summary dashboards to the senior investment team
• Engaging with start-up founders and the VC ecosystem to build a curated network of connections relevant to the firm’s investment thesis and portfolio companies

Location: Bangalore

Educational Qualification: Graduate/Post graduate degree or relevant professional qualifications from top-tier institutes. Additional qualifications such as CFA or CAIA will be valuable

Job specifications:

• 2-3 Years of prior experience working in corporate finance, investment banking, consulting or a startup company
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to collaboratively work alongside the existing team
• Ability to see the bigger picture and help position the firm strongly in its spheres of focus
