Speciale Invest is an early-stage DeepTech fund focused on Modern Enterprise & FrontierTech. We specialize in pre-seed and seed investments, partnering with founders at the earliest stages (pre-product and pre-revenue) to turn great ideas into category-defining companies from India for the world. We are looking to hire an investment analyst to be a part of our core investment team.
At Speciale, we have backed more than 40 startups in various sectors, including AI-led SaaS, Vertical AI, DevTools/Data infrastructure, SpaceTech, Robotics, Quantum Computing, Mobility, and Health and Bio Science. We have been one of the early investors in the deep tech space across multiple sectors — SpaceTech, Robotics, Mobility (EV & Battery), AR/VR, Conversational AI, DevTools, Data Infra, and GenAI Tooling/Infra. Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a deeply technical field, such as engineering or product
- Subject matter expertise in at least one of the following: AI/ML, dev tools, databases, security, or enterprise technology (Bonus if you have this)
- A self-starter with a superior work ethic who thrives on ambitious goals
- Attention to detail and a desire to improve existing processes
- Ability to excel in an entrepreneurial environment with ambiguity
- Stellar written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal skills
- Someone who likes to be part of a small, high-performance team with a high degree of ownership and a can-do attitude
What you’ll do
- Thorough Research: Develop subject matter expertise across industries, including DevTools, Data Infra, Security, Databases, AI Applications, and AI infrastructure. Being technical helps you to build deeper theses, which is our DNA.
- Deal Sourcing: Actively source new investment opportunities through networking, events, and direct outreach.
- Networking: Build and foster relationships with founders and peer VC investors.
- Investment Analysis: Lead due diligence of active investment opportunities, including market research, founder references, reading reviews and forums, expert interviews, and online platforms.
- Collaborate with the investment team to drive the firm’s investment strategy, share industry insights, and connect patterns to drive insights.
