About KIFML: KIFML is a government-sponsored venture capital fund acting as a catalyst for the Kerala startup ecosystem. Unlike typical government roles, this is a “hardcore” VC environment managing two active funds with real mandates, accountability, and consequences. The fund aims to build the startup ecosystem from the deal table, not the sidelines.
The Role: We are hiring an Investment Associate who is bored of “VC roles” that are just Excel with better coffee. This role is for someone who wants to build judgment, drafting Investment Memos (IMs), term sheets, and SSHAs that lawyers respect. You will sit in Investment Committee (IC) meetings where capital is debated, defended, and deployed.
Key Responsibilities:

Deal Sourcing & Evaluation: Talk to founders before the hype catches them and argue about valuations that actually matter.

Documentation: Draft IMs, term sheets, and SSHAs.

Investment Committee: Participate in IC meetings to defend and deploy capital.

Portfolio Management: Manage portfolio companies when reality punches through the pitch deck.
Who we’re looking for:

Experience: 4–5+ years of experience.

Background: CA / MBA / ex-startup operator preferred.

Mindset: You want a path to becoming a serious VC leader, not a permanent associate.
