Venture Capital Job – Investment Associate – Zeropearl VC

The Role: We are hiring an Investment Associate (Partner Track) to join our team. This role is designed for someone who wants to be the “next me” and includes a significant carry sharing component based on performance. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to become a Partner within 6 years if performance is maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deal Sourcing: Source and execute high-quality investment deals. The expectation is a minimum of 3 self-sourced deals in the first 12 months.

2. Investment Management: Manage the investment process from sourcing to closure.

3. Performance: Contribute significantly to the fund’s overall gains through self-sourced deals.

4. Long-term Commitment: This is a long-term role with a hiring horizon of a decade or more.

Shortlisting Criteria:

1. Experience: Minimum 3 years of full-time VC experience.

2. Track Record: Must have completed at least 3 startup investments from self-sourced deals.

3. Age: ≤ 27 years.

4. Education: Top-tier undergraduate institution.

Compensation & Career Roadmap:

1. Fixed Compensation: ₹28 Lakhs per annum.

2. Carry: Up to 25% of the total carry pool, based on the contribution of your portfolio gains to overall fund gains and the contribution of your self-sourced deals. Carry will be documented on a Fund Stamp paper contract after 12 months of expected performance.

3. Partner Track: Potential to become a Partner in the next 6 years if performance is maintained.

Hiring Process:

1. Confidentiality: Strict confidentiality; only the hiring manager will read applications.

2. Timeline: The meeting process will run for 2-3 months, involving 4-5 meetings with shortlisted candidates.

3. Joining: Expected joining date is 1st June.
