Role Overview: The Investment Lead will play a key role in sourcing, evaluating, and executing venture investments, working closely with the Managing Partner. This role is suited for professionals with 1–4 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, consulting, investment banking, or the startup ecosystem who aspire to build strong investing judgment and gain hands-on exposure to India’s most innovative early-stage companies.

Key Responsibilities:

Deal Sourcing & Evaluation:

  1. Identify and build relationships with high-potential founders aligned with IndiGo Ventures’ investment themes.

  2. Conduct market scans, competitive benchmarking, and opportunity assessments.

  3. Support end-to-end due diligence including business, financial, product, and legal.

Investment Execution:

  1. Prepare detailed investment memos, financial models, and presentation materials for internal discussions.

  2. Coordinate with legal, compliance, and external advisors for smooth transaction execution.

  3. Support term sheet structuring and negotiations.

Portfolio Management:

  1. Engage with portfolio founders to support growth strategy, fundraising, and governance.

  2. Monitor portfolio performance and prepare quarterly reports for the Investment Committee.

Research & Thematic Work:

  1. Conduct deep-dive research on emerging sectors and business models.

  2. Develop market maps, insights, and thematic content to refine investment theses.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  1. Experience: 1–4 years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, management consulting, or startup strategy/finance. Exposure to early-stage technology venture funds or corporate venture/innovation programs is preferred.

  2. Skills: Strong analytical, financial modeling, and research capabilities. Exceptional written and verbal communication.

  3. Education: Undergraduate degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, or Management from a top-tier institution. Postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) from a Tier-1 institution is preferred.
