Venture Capital Job – Investment Operations Lead – Unitus Capital

Headquartered in Bangalore and with representation in New York, San Francisco, and Sydney, our team of over 40 finance professionals offers a range of investment banking services to facilitate access to venture and growth capital for businesses and to enable investment by investors seeking social, environmental, and financial returns.

We are seeking an outstanding entrepreneurial and self-directed financial operations professional to provide leadership in the middle office for our India and Global South funds, who will work closely with our investment teams, finance, and fund administration (back office) team, and our global operations team to design, build, improve, and operate scalable and efficient investment operations systems, processes, and best practices.

Location: Bangalore

Qualification: Graduate, Chartered Accountant or CFA, or related advanced credentials are a plus.

Experience: 3 years

Job responsibilities:

1. Manage investment operations for India funds
   a. Ensure our investments data is well-organized, accurate, and updated in a timely manner
   b. Manage investment operations data architecture, processes, templates, and best practices standards
2. Lead process to deliver investor reports for India funds
   a. Deliver quarterly LP reports on time with high-quality and accurate data and helpful analysis
   b. Deliver annual impact and ESG reports
   c. Deliver other special investor reports
3. Support India investments transactions and ongoing compliance
   a. Ensure transactions information is well organized, complete, and post-transaction follow-ups are taken care of
   b. Proactively monitor ongoing investments compliance and resolve in-bound investment-related requests
4. Support fundraising efforts with investment information and analysis
   a. Manage fund and portfolio performance and forecast data, analysis, and reports
   b. Support fund and portfolio marketing with data, analysis, and reporting, including special requests from particular investors
5. Contribute to global investment systems
   a. Collaborate with various stakeholders to develop and implement investment operations best practices across the organization
   b. Lead administration of our portfolio management tools

Skills required:

1. Polished written and oral communication skills
2. Ability to effectively balance, prioritize, and manage many simultaneous projects to successful completion
3. Resourceful with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to find information that is not readily available
4. Ability to quickly and effectively analyze and synthesize complex information, exercising advanced critical thinking to deliver recommendations and solutions
5. Self-directed and comfortable asking questions and taking the initiative to get projects completed accurately and on time
6. Full proficiency in digital tools, including spreadsheets, presentations, and other state-of-the-art SaaS tools for information sharing and communications
7. A strong work ethic and willingness to work as needed to accomplish projects on timelines
