About The Role

This funding winter can be the spring for a fantastic Investor Relations career. At Capria Ventures, we are at an exciting point in our journey- Global South expertise, Applied GenAI focus, Rapidly growing portfolio, and, importantly, marquee LPs- all coming together to back the best tech-enabled entrepreneurs! The Investor Relations & Analytics Associate will support the Investor Relations team’s efforts in lead sourcing and outreach. The Investor Relations Fellow will also work closely with our Investment Team, Ops Manager, and others to compile investor reports, analyze fund data, and create/maintain fundraising materials.

Who You Are

You navigate tools (Salesforces, Asana, Slack etc) with ease, are curious and love research, like to achieve hard goals and take on interesting challenges (and will do what it takes), are a good communicator (both verbal and written), excited about working across different time zones (fewer hours of sleep but a great adrenalin rush) and more than anything else have a great attitude- then you may be precisely the person we want to join our Investor Relations team. Below are some of the main responsibilities for this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct careful and meticulous market research
  •  Expand Capria’s fundraising pipeline by sourcing qualified prospects
  • Maintain fundraising leads in Salesforce IQ
  • Record information and create profiles of prospects
  • Take the lead on planning re-occurring fundraising events
  • Assist fundraising team in preparation for conferences
  • Develop and improve upon fundraising materials
  • Compiling and designing reports for our sourcing/screening process
  • Compiling and designing reports for portfolio management
  • Updating/automating existing reports
  • Visual data representations for investor pitch decks etc.
  • Support preparation of investor pitches

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes

  • An understanding of entities and key players in the investing ecosystem
  • Outcome focussed and will take the initiative to achieve high-bar goals
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to work extra in peak fundraising season
  • Strong written/verbal communication and outreach skills
  • Process-oriented and a tool Ninja
  • Resourcefulness and ability to find information that is not readily available
  • Is a networking pro and thrives in meeting and connecting with people

Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Applications (Sheets, Slides, Docs) is required; experience with fundraising and constituency software preferred.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of related experience within the financial services industry
  • Undergraduate degree; MBA or related advanced degree a plus
  • Persuasive and polished written and oral communication skills, excellent networker
  • Ability to effectively balance, prioritize, and manage many simultaneous projects to successful completion
  • Resourceful with an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to find information that is not readily available
  • Ability to quickly and effectively synthesize complex information, exercising advanced critical thinking to deliver recommendations and solutions.
  • Self-directed and comfortable asking questions and taking the initiative to get projects completed accurately and on time
  • Full proficiency in digital tools, including spreadsheets, presentations, and other state-of-the-art SaaS tools for information sharing & communications
  • A strong work ethic and willingness to work as needed to accomplish projects on
    timelines
