ROLE
The Senior Analyst position will focus on analytical analysis of portfolio investments, in addition to driving financial operational process improvements within the firm.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Analysis of Investments:
- Prepare and maintain detailed quarterly models for fund drivers, while ensuring consistency and adherence to valuation policies
- Enhance internal investment monitoring processes by building out views/dashboards to increase visibility of investments within the firm
- Develop, launch and maintain a system to track objectives at time of investment to track investment progress
- Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders on evaluating potential investment opportunities
- Conduct/Prepare fund and portfolio performance analysis
Finances and Operations:
- Manage financial and business reporting and initiatives to provide internal stakeholders with relevant and timely information to make informed business decisions
- Be a trusted contact and provide support to portfolio companies’ teams
- Partner with internal stakeholders on ad hoc projects to drive improvement in processes
- Coordinate and manage external stakeholders
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in financial analysis and valuations
- Minimum of BS or equivalent degree
- Strong financial modeling, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in the venture capital and/or private equity industry, a plus
- Advanced competency with Excel; familiarity with data analytical tools
- Must work well in a very dynamic, intellectually rigorous, deadline driven culture
- Prior Venture Capital or Investment Banking experience is a plus
