Venture Capital Job – Senior Analyst, Consumer Tech – Chiratae Ventures

Job Description: A Senior Analyst plays a crucial role in identifying, evaluating, and managing potential investment opportunities with a primary focus on Consumer Tech. The role holder will be involved in sourcing, investing, portfolio management, sector research, and team collaboration, eventually leading deals independently over time.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Deal Sourcing and Support: Identify potential investment opportunities through outbound research, networking, and attending industry events.
2. Investing: Conduct due diligence by researching the industry, analyzing financials, assessing the team’s capabilities, creating financial models, and preparing investment memos.
3. Portfolio Management: Work closely with portfolio companies to provide strategic guidance and support, and track their progress against key metrics.
4. Networking & Research: Build and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, investors, and key industry players. Stay updated on the latest trends to develop and share thought leadership.

Who fits the bill:

1. Education: An engineering degree from a premier institution is mandatory. An MBA post-engineering from a premier institution is also preferred.
2. Experience: Around 3-5 years of relevant experience. Investing experience in Consumer Tech is most preferred. Direct operator or Founder’s Office experience in consumer tech companies would also be considered favorably.
3. Behavioural Attributes: High degree of ownership, data-driven, intellectually curious, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
