Job Title:Sr. Associate – Exits

Location: Gurgaon/Bangalore

Key Responsibilities:

• Core team:Will be part of the core team for a Deal Lead Member, enabling smooth execution of exits. Ensuring timely information and updates to the lead for decision making.

• Investors Relations:Foster strong relationships with our investors, providing transparent and timely communication on exit strategies, progress, and outcomes. Managing investor sentiments, handling UHNI, HNIs, CXOs, and professionals to ensure their exit formalities, funds are transferred within stipulated timelines. Owning and ensuring investor support for any share transfers, exits, pre-emptive rights related queries or escalations, as and when applicable.

• Technical Expertise:

a. Understanding of NRI Transactions, Tax implications and payout for NRI deals. Understanding conversion of share and its implications and calculation along with legal filling requirements.

b. Understand the lifecycle of a startup, calculations of various rounds, basic understanding of AIF norms, Primary, Secondary, interse transactions. Investment instruments, Captable, % holding, IRR amongst another related knowledge. Ability to lead the team.

c. AIF exits including internal transfers and redemption of funds, tax implications on payout to investors. In depth understanding of the transactions through unit statement and other transactional documents.

d. Creation of Startup and Investor portfolios and start-up lifecycle. Creating and evaluating investor portfolios, explaining the status to the investor

• Cross functional: Supporting/Internal AIR team to file relevant filings with SEBI, as and how applicable. Ensuring accuracy of funds received and maintaining real time data. Supporting AIF team in reconciliation. Participating in relevant audits, as applicable.

• Influencing stakeholders: Ability to influence stakeholders in improving processes, communication and buy-ins for new ways of working. Courage to own the output and ability to take ownership to fix mistakes.

• CRM & Data Analytics:Define metrics, create relevant reports for leadership, tracking of plan vs actuals. Project pipeline and actual achieved.

• SOPs: Identifying gaps and defining new ways of working. Adapting to automation and guiding the team in doing so. Ensuring business continuity and incorporating corrective actions.

• Project Management: Lead the strategic planning and preparation for exits. Conducting audits of startups through MCA inspection and ensure data accuracy.

• Exit Execution:Lead the execution of exit strategies through liquidation, right offs, mergers, and acquisitions (M&A), secondary sales, or other relevant methods. Lead and manage all aspects of the exit process, including legal documentation, and investor coordination and calculation. 5-6 deals per quarter end to end exits.

• Post-Exit Support: Facilitate a smooth transition post-exit for investors with taxation details and executed documents, ensuring ongoing support and assistance as required.]

Key Technical Requirements:

• MBA (Finance/Investment Banking) or CA with 2 to 3 years of work experience in banking operations or Business processes or Customer service.

• Key interest in data management along with analytics.

• Interest in Compliances and deal formalities.

• Willingness to expand the horizon and be open to learning new concepts in Angel Investing etc.

• Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to assess complex financial data and market trends.

General Skills:

• Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the startup ecosystem and venture capital landscape.

• Excellent attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, and focus on results.

• Self-motivated and solutions mindset to work with minimum supervision.

• Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

• Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills • Willingness to expand horizon and be open to learn new concepts.
