The Role

We’re looking to add a Venture Fellow to our team who will work directly with the investment team at DeVC in our Bengaluru office.

Individuals in this role supercharge our investment team by creating and managing processes that deliver world-class services and experiences to entrepreneurs. This role will engage across all functions, including portfolio engagement, special projects, reviewing new investment opportunities, financial reporting, marketing, community, events and management of administrative staff.

This is high intensity & high learning role! There are many times when we all work long hours.

Responsibilities:

• Owning and managing the CRM for tracking all investment opportunities
• Managing all projects and events
• Initiating and leading special projects (e.g. building internal products and programs)
• Managing and tracking our portfolio founder community and partner networks
• Managing and processing all email communication for our inbound deal flow
• Assembling briefings and memos for various meetings, including the daily stand ups
• Overseeing scheduling and contact management performed by executive assistant(s) for the investment team
• Conducting primary and secondary research, plus on ground due diligence whenever required
• Performing financial analysis and modelling when required by the investment teams
• Managing and working directly on all content and event marketing activities

For this role we would lean towards candidates who:

• Possess 1-3 years of experience in product management, founders office or management consulting.
• Exhibit a deep curiosity to understand the nuts and bolts of venture capital
• Put in the work to understand DeVC’s mission before applying
• Demonstrate the ability to structure thoughts and communicate with clarity
• Come from Tier 1 engineering schools (preference would be towards this, but not a deal breaker)
• Shall be able to thrive in and elevate our culture of “Founders First!”

This position is not:

• An analyst or associate position, nor an investing professional-track role. Instead, it is an ideal opportunity to get involved with and get exposed to workings of building a world class VC firm
• Expected to source companies or to be directly entrepreneur-facing. Rather, you will work with the investment team to help review, analyze and prioritize existing deal flow.
• Glamorous. It involves mostly behind-the-scenes work. You will spends a large portion of the day in your inbox , Notion, MS Office etc.

Compensation & Benefits:

The band for this role is ₹16,00,000 to ₹30,00,000 i.e. ₹16L to ₹30L CTC

Outside of the CTC, employees are covered under a Group Health policy (for self & one family member) and are eligible for an annual health check-up with other wellness benefits.
