Venture Capital Job – VP, Compliance – Transition VC

About Transition VC: Transition VC is India’s first Energy Transition-focused venture capital fund, dedicated to addressing the Climate Crisis and accelerating the nation’s goal of reaching Net Zero. Role Description: The VP – Finance & Compliance will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, preparation of financial statements and reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. They will also analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations, and work towards the financial growth and stability of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Fund Accounting & Reporting: Lead end-to-end fund accounting, cash flow management, and NAV reporting for the fund and portfolio companies. Review quarterly and annual financial statements.

2. Compliance & Frameworks: Establish and maintain compliance frameworks, internal controls, and finance policies. Coordinate with auditors, tax advisors, and administrators.

3. Investor Relations (Finance): Act as the primary finance liaison for LPs, including international institutional investors. Prepare and review investor communications and capital account statements.

4. Strategic Advisory: Advise senior management on fund structuring, tax, and compliance implications of transactions.

Qualifications:

1. Education: CA or MBA (Finance).

2. Experience: 6–10 years of experience in PE/VC or Fund Management, with a minimum of 6–7 years handling finance and compliance functions.

3. Specific Skills: Proven experience managing foreign institutional investor reporting and compliance.
