iRMA iSeed – Social Trailblazer Program – Equity/Grants upto ₹25L

The IRMA iSEED Foundation along with the enabling partner LIC Housing Finance Ltd had launched the Social Trailblazer program to nurture the evolving ecosystem of Indian Social Enterprises.

The goal is to promote the Social Enterprise programme so as to promote the development of social enterprise and social investment to help address entrenched social and environmental problems and deliver positive change in our communities and societies through Incubating 10 start-ups and supporting them with financial as well as technical assistance to build their capacity, make them market-ready and help them scale their business.

Themes –

  1. Livability (Healthcare, Waste Management, Clean Energy and Sustainable mobility)
  2. Livelyhood (Art&Craft, Agribusiness, Education and skill development)

Rewards –

  1. A financial award Upto INR 25,00,000 in the form of Equity Funding and UPTO INR 5,00,000 in the form of Grant Funding top 10-12 selected startups
  2. 1-year of personalized incubation and acceleration support at IRMA ISEED Foundation
  3. Upto INR 50,00,000 follow-on investment from IRMA ISEED’S Networks.
  4. Upto $1000 worth of AWS credits and technology support

Eligibility Criteria –

  1. Demonstrating the existence of a legal structure: the challenge is open to startups registered in India with DPIIT certificate (Pvt Ltd company preferred).
  2. Addressing one of the two themes mentioned above or are working towards creating social impact in society.
  3. Demonstrating the existence of a sustainable and viable business model with a Minimum Viable Product or service ready stage and onwards
  4. Social impact & Innovation are the heart of the solution
  5. For-profit startups with more than 6 months of operations on ground

Evaluation Criteria –

  1. Robustness of the operational and commercial model
  2. Potential for replicability and/or scalability
  3. The team is composed of diverse and complementary expertise with technical, commercial and administrative profiles. Added bonus for women-led teams or teams with a significant number of women.
  4. Assertive social impact strategy and ability to measure it
  5. The funds should contribute in a positive and concrete way to the development of the entrepreneurial project.
