Multiple on Invested Capital (MOIC) Calculator

MOIC is a metric that is used specifically in private equity and venture capital to measure the return on investment (ROI). It calculates the ratio of the total value gained from an investment to the initial amount of capital invested. In simpler terms, it shows how many times the initial investment has grown in value. For example, if a private equity firm invests $10 million in a company and later sells it for $30 million, the MOIC would be 3.0x. A higher MOIC indicates a more successful investment, as it signifies that the investor has achieved a greater return relative to the initial investment amount
