Management Fellowship – Cohort 2024

The Fellowship Program is designed for emerging stars in the venture capital and entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The program is rooted in our belief that SucSEED’s core purpose in the early-stage ecosystem is to Nurture Talent around Risk & Reward – either entrepreneurial talent through capital or VC talent through early exposure to building blocks of Venture ecosystem. Nurturing and developing talent is a Foundation to build a long-term institution.

Entrepreneurship is about fearless reimagination of the world, and the Fellowship is our endeavour to bring together a group of young and passionate minds and provide them the unique opportunity to get first-hand experience of the start-up ecosystem. With this philosophy in mind, we are launching Fellowship program from the #SucSEEDfamily

The program is aimed at constantly bringing in fresh inflow of ideas and enthusiasm into the fund and challenge every bit of our thinking and knowledge. If you think you are up for it, keep on reading

The full time fellowship program is for a year and aimed to give the fellows a full taste of what happens in a VC fund.

A candidate can choose from following two routes :

Option1 – Collaboration with Institutional Partners – You’ll get the exposure to handle responsibilities by working closely on Investor Relationship (retail, institutional and Family offices), develop deeper relationship with Partners of SucSEED (Incubators, Accelerators, Investment Bankers, network with other fund houses, Service Providers, Large Technology providers, and so on), work on Events and Collaborations to create better outreach, and create sell-side opportunities towards exits and work on Marketing and Communication strategy to have better brand recall with the external world at every level.  And help our Portfolio companies, with various Partnership outreach.

Option2 – Sectoral Research, Deal Discovery and Portfolio Management – You’ll get the exposure to handle responsibilities by working deeply on a couple of sectors of your interest, research on Buy side, discover deals, handle investment cycle, work with our portfolio companies and help them scale, network with other funds and partners, create sell-side opportunities towards exits and Communicate and showcase our portfolio to the external world at every level.

Both the options can help you get the full time offer from SucSEED, for deserving candidates and it’s possible to move between options after sizeable experience achieved, working mutually within the team.

Job Description:

• Work with the leadership to manage cross-functional, high-impact initiatives and programs that enables the fund and extended #SucSEEDfamily to achieve short and long-term financial goals
• Lead successful implementations of strategic initiatives aimed at increasing growth, profitability, accelerating company performance and transition setup of new business
• In partnership with leadership team, track and drive prioritization, visibility, and execution of core business initiatives
• Create and drive project/program plans and schedules to achieve the business outcome, not just check the box
• Maintain project schedules, identifying dependencies, and driving awareness and crisp execution against major milestones
• Define, track, and refine metrics and KPIs that measure the business health and successful execution of strategic projects and initiatives
• Implement and continue to improve best practices across the fund and across specific functions

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

The Fellowship is a selective stipend-led program designed with the apprenticeship model and multidisciplinary learning at its core. The program operates on a 1 year model where a fellow would get an opportunity to work on projects on 3-5 domains on simultaneous basis, giving exposure to many dimensions of the Venture Capital ecosystem. At the end of the program, SucSEED will provide extensive support to help you pursue your career or educational aspiration through strong references and recommendations.

We expect the Fellow to complete one year to get the most out of our program, and would have a lock-in period of one-year to ensure only committed candidates deserve to enter the program.

The program combines structured mentorship with hands-on experience and offers tremendous opportunity to learn about venture capital and amplifies insights and understanding of the India’s startup ecosystem

The program is a structured experience where fellows rotate across various functions and work on projects while focusing on one or more of the areas depending on their skills and interests.

The applications will be accepted in Three Batches for Cohort2024

• Batch 1 deadline – 30th October 2023 (for those candidate who can start from 1st week of Jan 2024)
• Batch 2 deadline – 30th Jan 2024 (for those candidate who can start in Mid-April 2024)
• Batch 3 deadline – dates would be announced later (for those candidate who can start in July 2024)

Fellowship is full-time for 12 months, with paid stipend, with an opportunity to extend beyond initial contract.

Fellowship program has commenced in 2023 and we have a 3 successful batches from Cohort-2023 running successfully with a rolling one-year program.

What we look for – Qualification & Profile:

We require performance-oriented accountability and constant learning. We believe in building leaders from within by encouraging our team to challenge themselves and explore their deep potential.

• Someone who has graduated in Business Administration, Sales & Management, Finance, Economics, or any other related business field. Please don’t apply if you are still to complete your graduation, as this is not a part-time role.
• Energy which can put Red Bull to shame and there should be no limitations to what you can dare to achieve.
• 0.5 – 2 years of business / strategy / Sales & Marketing/ Project management/ Finance / Venture Building experience.
• For Fresher candidates, a solid program and project management skills, having managed and successfully delivered multiple, complex projects on-time and on-budget, at College/ University/ Volunteering level would be helpful.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Suggestive track record of generating high-quality results
• Ability to execute at a strategic level and roll up the sleeves and do the work; easily able to shift from one to the other
• Disciplined in setting and managing priorities and results and holding people to account
• Ability to drive change and lead through influence in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated ability to implement best practices and results-based metrics
• Someone who thinks different from the rest of herd mindset
• Based out of Hyderabad or is able to relocate and keen to live on stipend to learn and build a career.
