About the Role:
This is a role within the Urban Tech vertical at Anthill, which is focused on investing in and scaling startups in the space of mobility, proptech, energy, and water & waste, with a broad focus on climate and sustainability. We are looking for a Fellow with research and analyses skills, ability to communicate well, and a drive to make things happen. We offer an equally passionate and driven environment for the right candidate to accelerate their career.
The Fellowship at Anthill requires a minimum time commitment of 3 months and requires fellows to be available full time i.e. 8 hrs/ day X 5 days/ week. Please do not apply if you only have 4-5 hours/ day post classes. The Fellowship is unpaid and remote (but you are welcome to join us in either of our offices).
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Participating end-to-end in the investment process including sourcing startups (Market research,
Competitive analysis, Product & Business Model analysis), investing in startups (Investment memo,
Presentation, Due diligence, Documentation), and scaling support to startups (Business & Revenue Models, Go-to-Market & Scaling Plans, Market Access connects, Mentorship, Hiring, Marketing, Sales, Product, etc)
• Conduct primary and secondary research on different products and sectors, and understand emerging trends and practices
• Communicate well externally, with founders, corporate leaders, investors, and internally, with Anthill
leadership and peers, and build relationships important to Anthill’s work
• Run operations for the accelerator programs including event organization, scheduling, and coordination
• Support organization level activities that involve communicating the Anthill brand and value proposition to the ecosystem through social media, events, and thought leadership
Required Experience, Qualifications and Skills:
• Recent college graduates or pre-masters/ pre-MBA professionals
• 0-3 years of full time work experience. Experience in startups, accelerators/ incubators, VC funds, etc is
preferred.
• Have expertise or be passionate about emerging technologies and business models in Urban Tech and
sustainability overall
• Have experience doing market research, investment research, financial analyses, and understand business and revenue models
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and savvy with making presentations, maintaining spreadsheets, etc
