With a global presence, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Community Owner to foster engagement and build a vibrant community on our Whatsapp platform.
Position Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Community Owner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for new media technology, a deep understanding of community dynamics, and experience in managing online communities, particularly on Whatsapp. As a Community Owner, you will play a pivotal role in building, growing and nurturing a positive and interactive community around Rocket Capital.
Responsibilities:
1. Community Building:
- Build the pillars required for a Whatsapp Community e.g. outreach strategy, sales & marketing pitches, member on-boarding, community set up on Whatsapp, newsletters, etc.
2. Community Engagement:
- Foster a positive and engaging community atmosphere on Whatsapp.
- Initiate and moderate discussions, ensuring that the community is vibrant and active.
- Respond promptly to member inquiries, feedback, and concerns.
- Initiate employer branding program to advance our market outreach
3. Content Management:
- Create and curate content relevant to new media technology trends and Rocket Capital’s portfolio companies.
- Schedule and coordinate community events, AMAs (Ask Me Anything sessions), and other engagement activities.
4. Community Growth:
- Develop and implement strategies to grow the community organically.
- Promote the community across various platforms.
5. Moderation:
- Enforce community guidelines to ensure a respectful and inclusive environment.
- Monitor and moderate discussions to prevent spam, inappropriate content, or any violations of community standards.
6. Analytics and Reporting:
- Monitor community activity and track key metrics to assess community health and growth.
- Prepare regular reports on community engagement, issues, and feedback.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with a tech-based start-up
- Strong understanding of new media technology trends and the venture capital landscape.
- Background in Marketing, Sales, Communication, or a related field.
- Experience with other social media or messaging platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
- Enthusiastic and proactive with a passion for fostering online communities.
- Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights.
