Role – Compliance Officer – Growth Fund (IFSCA/ GIFT City)
About Us – SucSEED Indovation Fund (https://www.sucseedindovation.com) is an early stage focused SEBI Registered Cat-1 Fund with a corpus of INR 200Cr having more than 60 portfolio companies across various sectors. SucSEED is in the process to set up a Growth Fund, at GIFT City, under the IFSCA regime.
About the position – SucSEED is seeking a proactive, organized and experienced Compliance and Risk officer with excellent organization and management skills to support the proposed fund at GIFT City, Gandhinagar/ Ahmedabad. We are looking for a highly motivated, hands-on manager who takes initiative and flourishes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Job Location – GIFT City, Gandhinagar, Gujrat.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliances of IFSCA regulations, SEBI AIF Regulations, SEZ regulations and leading the compliance and risk management of the SucSEED Indovation Global Fund, GIFT City.
- Build infra, systems and process for GIFT City compliances and risk management
- Handling statutory filings and submissions in Gift City specifically with respect to renewal of various certificates, licences, leases, reporting etc.
- Subject matter expertise on Core Compliance policies and underlying regulatory requirements, including maintaining an up to date knowledge of changes in key regulatory requirements, regulatory focus and risk themes impacting the above mentioned processes. This also includes identification and analysis of key regulatory risks identified as part of the BAU processes.
- Define Broad Risk Management Framework for the Fund, and define Risk Thresholds as per the Risk Appetite of the Fund.
- Oversee Investment Transactions to manage various Risk types within the agreed Framework & thresholds.
- Liaison and deal with the regulators, trustees, auditors etc. from time to time
- Should keep abreast with the latest regulatory changes/ requirements and adhere to such requirements especially related to IFSC regulations, SEBI AIF regulations and SEZ regulations
- Seek opportunities within Core Compliance frameworks to bolster controls and assure transparency and enhanced issue identification through relevant metrics / reporting measures.
- Responsible for compilation of various reports/ information as statutorily required to be maintained, for submission to Boards, various regulatory (IFSCA/GIFT SEZ/AMC/Trustees etc), statutory and other adjacent authorities (RBI, SEBI, AMFI etc, if any)
- Drafting of Scheme Information Documents and get the same reported to IFSCA. Updating Scheme Information Documents and Statement of Additional Information within the time frame set.
Desired Skills
- You should be a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI), preferably with a law degree from any Indian University or College.
- Minimum 5 years prior experience in a compliance role with a SEBI registered AIF/fund manager, portfolio manager, investment advisor or research analyst entity.
- Experience of financial services sector and fund structure.
- Possess good inter-personal skills and maintain cordial relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Good drafting skills with an understanding of AIF business
- Fluent in English and Hindi.
- Experience in working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Possess good oral, written communication, and interaction skills.
- Be ambitious and passionate and ability to work effectively under pressure.
