Venture Capital Job – Investment Analyst – Menterra Ventures

Menterra is seeking an Analyst to primarily support in operations and reporting of the equity investments portfolio companies managed and advised by Menterra on behalf of its investment partners. Other activities include sourcing, due diligence, execution, and exit management of social investment deals. The key requirements include a solid understanding of accounting and financial analysis, the ability to analyze various business models in the given sectors, work effectively as part of a small team, and is self-driven.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Manage data collection of company performance and analyze this information to generate reports for investors.
• Based on the specific issues faced by companies, identify value addition interventions that will mitigate risks and/or leverage larger business opportunities.
• Prepare companies for exits by identifying downstream investors.
• Identify investable deals.
• Conduct thorough diligence of these deals across aspects such as – team, business, operations, legal, financial, and impact aspects.

Essential Skill Set:

• 2-3 yrs of past professional experience in startups or an investment fund.
• Have a solid understanding of accounting or financial analysis and financial model construction.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and sound judgment to analyze business models, spot risks and generate mitigation plans.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
