Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and guidance on venture capital investments.
- Draft and review legal documents, ensuring they protect the firm’s and clients’ interests.
- Conduct extensive legal research and analysis to support decision-making.
- Assist in fund formation matters and investment transactions.
- Work closely with early-stage to large-scale venture-backed companies.
- Proactively track and manage action items across teams and portfolios.
- Engage in strategic legal planning to support firm objectives.
- Undertake legal risk assessment in investments.
- Work collaboratively yet independently, understanding the demanding nature of the role.
Requirements:
- A degree in law.
- 6-8 years in VC/PE legal roles and familiarity with the Indian PE / VC legal requirements.
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
About the role:
We are seeking a legal counsel who has experience in the VC/PE space and is eager for a ringside view of VC operations. This role is for someone who is solution-oriented, curious, and understands our role as a catalyst for startups. The ideal candidate will appreciate the demanding yet rewarding nature of the job, which extends beyond standard working hours to ensure success and satisfaction.
