PRATH Ventures (www.prathventures.com) is a target INR 225 cr VC fund looking to invest in early-stage Digital Consumer businesses. The fund has been set up by seasoned investors with 35+ years of cumulative experience managing third-party capital at reputed institutions. The team has been part of several B2C/Challenger brand journeys at multiple stages. PRATH is looking to invest early with pioneering founders building consumer businesses. The team is now looking to hire a full-time investment analyst for the team
Responsibilities
1. Industry and Company research
– Understanding the market positioning of the business
– Understanding industry dynamics and positioning of the investee company within its peer group
– Analysing company accounts, profit and loss sheets, and cash flow information
– Strong analytical, excel and presentation skills
2. Be part of the Investments team to take an informed view on the founders, business, valuation, and likely returns over a 3-5 year period
– Supporting end-to-end deal process including memos, financial model, and due diligence
– Analysing portfolio performance to identify areas of strengths and improvements
3. Outreach and origination
– Develop sector thesis with a view to identifying investment opportunities
– Network with early-stage founders and other relevant ecosystem
Qualifications:
– Upto 2 years of pre MBA work experience in Tier 1 management consulting / Investment Banking/ venture fund /venture backed startup
Key Requirements:
– Intellectually Curious, Takes Ownership and pride in his/her work.
– Strong in creating power point presentations (Teasers & Company Analysis / Thematic Research) and financial modelling for deals
– Excellent written, analytics and oral communication skills
– Right attitude to learn and contribute
– Enjoy interacting with founders and senior management on a day-to-day basis
– Work independently to deliver results in a fast-paced team that is geographically dispersed
