About DHFO
Dinesh Hinduja Family Office is the single-family office of the erstwhile promoter of Gokaldas Exports
Limited. The family has a global portfolio across public equity, real estate, and private market
investments. The investment intern will work directly with the Lead for PE/VC investments for thesis
writing and evaluating investment opportunities in startups (Seed to Series B). The family office has
had a vintage of investing in VC funds (Fireside, Chiratae, Blume, Ribbit etc) for the last ~10 years
with current portfolio of top tier domestic and international VC funds.
Role
1. Thesis development: sectoral research through secondary and primary research. Mapping out
existing startups, business models across the value chain in a sector by reading reports and engaging
with ecosystem (speaking to founders, VCs, Domain Experts). The thesis will entail also Identifying
potential investment opportunities for the family office.
2. Startup evaluation: The intern will get a first hand opportunity to learn a strong framework for
startup/business analysis for investing. The intern will support in building conviction and evaluating
the startup. The work will include market sizing, performing competitive analysis, understanding and
validating the problem statement & value proposition, undertaking financial analysis and evaluating
the founding team.
