Venture Capital Job – Investment Associate – Colossa Ventures

Job qualification: The ideal candidate should have a Masters degree (CA/CFA/MBA) and 2+ years of investing experience at a Venture Capital/Private Equity/Family offices/Investment banking. An engineering degree is an added advantage.

Job description: We are looking for an Associate who will take on varying responsibilities in sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities, conducting due diligence on acquisition targets, developing complex financial models to drive investment and strategic decisions. The candidate will also assist in negotiating and closing the deal. The responsibilities include:

·      Working directly with the senior team members and gain experience in the pursuit, analysis, and completion of investments

·      Involvement in all aspects of due diligence on new investments (business analysis, industry thesis, competitive landscape, business/pricing model, and financial modeling / deal structuring)

·      Building deep expertise and insight on a specific sector that can be leveraged by partners for maintaining and initiating new client relationships and generate high quality reports that highlight emerging trends and suggest possible courses of action

·      Reading/reviewing business plans and pitch decks, analysis of financial models & valuation, preparation of Investment Memorandum and support for deal negotiations

·      High-touch support and involvement with the investee companies, proactively work with management and board of assigned companies to achieve scale, organization build-out and KPIs

·      Active participation in the start-up community and forums for lead generation and brand building, develop a robust ecosystem of peer VCs, experts, service providers etc.
