The Role

We are looking for an Investment Associate with a passion to change the world, who will work closely with the investment team to source and validate potential investments and support portfolio companies. You will develop a deep understanding of potential investments, participate directly in the investment process, and provide support to our portfolio companies.

To Join Our Team, You Should Be Excited To

• Source, build and cultivate long-term relationships with engineers and founders.
• Conduct in-depth technical & business due diligence to develop a strong investment thesis, including solicitation of technical input from internal or external subject matter experts.
• Assisting with all aspects of the deal process including conducting company performance analysis and author investment memos and related diligence documents.
• Perform company and market research on prospective investments including diligence on customers and competitors.
• Manage, drive and assist portfolio companies deepen the necessary strategies with regards to growth and partnerships.
• Write industry market maps, competitive analysis, and compile market landscapes for internal and external consumption.
• Write investment briefs, memos, and theses with clear verbal and written communication
• Attend hackathons, technical conferences, meetups, etc to build relationships with founders.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2-4 years of work experience in a technical role /or engineering at a high-growth startup /or investment banking or consulting experience coupled with a technical academic degree.
• Deep understanding of quantitative analytics, information synthesis, and ability to think critically.
• A highly motivated, analytical, and data-driven mindset with the ability to convert data into thoughtful and well-structured analysis with clear conclusions and business implications.
• Interest and exposure to software-enabled infrastructure technologies focusing on machine learning, artificial intelligence, blockchain, developer tools, open source, etc.
• Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly motivated and self-starting; strategic thinking skills coupled with strong tactical execution; Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
