Colossa Ventures is an independent Indian venture capital management company, approved by the Securities Exchange Board of India. It has been founded by Ashu Suyash (former CEO, CRISIL- an S&P Global Company; Country Head & MD Fidelity Fund Management; ex-Citibanker) and Vandana Rajadhyaksha (former Partner ICICI Ventures and Aditya Birla Private Equity). Colossa has launched its first fund, Colossa WomenFirst Fund, a sector agnostic, women centric, seed stage to Series A Fund that aims to invest in tenacious women entrepreneurs building cutting edge, high-quality, fast- growing businesses in India. Colossa looks to invest ahead of the curve and help its companies scale through its unique 3C approach of capital, capability and confidence.

Colossa is expanding its team and looking to hire a Finance and Compliance Manger. Our ideal candidate is one who has 3-5 years experience, is highly motivated and extremely passionate about start-ups, and brings a strong understanding of finance, compliance and fund administration.

Position summary – Finance & Compliance Manager

Location : Mumbai/Ahmedabad

Qualification : CA with 3 – 5 years of experience preferably at an Alternative Investment Fund. CS will be an added advantage.

Job description :

Finance and Accounts

⁃ Budgeting and financial reporting

⁃ Monitor cash flow, manage expenses, and ensure adherence to guidelines

⁃ Ensuring integrity and completeness of financial accounts, transaction processing, reconciliations and operating processes and policies

⁃ Liaise with our outsourced accounting service provider to ensure accuracy, timeliness and quality of accounting and reporting. Review all month-end and year end closing activities including finalisation of accounts.

⁃ Manage and verify workings and documentation with respect to vendor settlements, partner payments.

⁃ Oversee the preparation and timely filing of all direct and indirect tax returns.

⁃ Coordination with the internal teams, auditors, consultants, advisors, etc

⁃ Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes affecting the AIFs

Compliance

⁃ Monitoring all regulatory requirement for compliances of the Fund and the Investment Manager. Applicable Regulations include Companies Act, LLP Act, FEMA, SEBI Regulations, Labor laws, Income Tax, GST etc.

⁃ Creating regulatory compliance documents

⁃ Facilitating board meetings, preparing agendas, minutes, and resolutions

⁃ Monitoring compliance against PPM and all internal policies, code of conduct etc

Operations

⁃ Own the end-to-end process by liaising with fund management team, outsourced providers and other internal teams.

⁃ Support the investment team, as required, in closing a deal, and in coordinating with internal stakeholders, entrepreneurs, lawyers etc.

⁃ Develop and execute SOP for onboarding and servicing investors.

⁃ Lead in the preparation of investor related communication, documentation, including investor decks, quarterly reports, press releases etc.

⁃ Respond to any investor inquiries and provide clarifications as needed.
