Venture Capital Job – Research Analyst – 2080 Ventures

2080 Ventures is one of the fastest growing Venture Accelerator, We are looking for Researcher and Analyst.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investment Analysis: Conduct thorough financial and strategic analysis of potential investment opportunities, including financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence processes.
• Market Research: Perform in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, sectors with high growth potential, and disruptive technologies. Develop comprehensive industry reports to guide investment decisions.
• Competitive Landscape Analysis: Analyze the competitive environment of potential investments, identifying key players, market positioning, and potential threats or opportunities.
• Technological Research: Stay abreast of technological advancements and innovations within targeted investment sectors. Evaluate the technological feasibility and potential impact of start-up solutions.
• Portfolio Support: Provide ongoing analysis and research support to portfolio companies, helping them to refine their market strategies and competitive positioning.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the investment team to share insights, contribute to investment theses, and participate in investment committee discussions.
• Networking: Engage with start-ups, industry experts, and other stakeholders to gather intelligence and foster relationships beneficial to the firm.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. A background in Engineering or Technology is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or a related field. Experience in a research-intensive role is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including experience with financial modeling and data analysis.
• Excellent research skills with the ability to synthesize information from various sources to derive actionable insights.
• Deep understanding of the start-up ecosystem, venture capital financing, and emerging technology trends.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
