Senior Associate – Athera Ventures

Athera Ventures is an early-stage technology investor that has backed leaders like redBus, PolicyBazaar, and HealthifyMe. Now raising our $120M Fund IV, we are seeking a driven Senior Associate to join our tight-knit investment team. You’ll work alongside Partners like Samir, Rutvik, Parag and Rajiv who’ve built Athera into a successful early-stage firm with strong returns and 9 founders re-investing back into our recent funds.

In this role, you will:

– Source potential early stage investment opportunities across sectors by leveraging networks and conducting market/industry research

– Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses on startups to assess investment potential and risks

– Lead due diligence process including developing diligence strategy, coordinating with vertical teams, interviewing founders/management

– Create and present investment memos summarizing diligence findings

– Structure investment terms and negotiate aspects of agreements

– Actively support portfolio companies on strategy, recruiting, marketing and scaling

– Expand our networks at industry events

Requirements:

– BS and MBA degrees from reputed institutes

– 5+ years in VC, PE, IB or Consulting

– Expert at startup financial modeling/valuation

– Strong strategic thinking and communication skills

– Comfortable interacting with CXOs and founders
