About the role:

As our Social Media Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for managing and driving organic growth of our YouTube, Twitter and Instagram handles. Your role will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategies to attract a larger audience, increase engagement, and foster a strong online community. This is an exciting opportunity to shape our social media presence and make a significant impact on our brand’s digital footprint in the Indian startup ecosystem.

This role requires an understanding and inherent appreciation of the VC and start-up ecosystem, with a strong background in content creation.

Responsibilities:

1) Organic Growth Strategy:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive organic growth strategy for our YouTube, Twitter and Instagram handles, aligned with our brand and target audience
  • Identify target audience demographics, interests and trends to tailor content and increase follower acquisition organically within the startup and venture capital ecosystem

2) Organic Growth Strategy:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive organic growth strategy for our YouTube, Twitter and Instagram handles, aligned with our brand and target audience

3) Content Planning and Creation:

  • Plan and create compelling and engaging content for our social media platforms, including videos, tweets, and Instagram posts, showcasing our thought leadership, in partnership with our investment teams
  • Collaborate with the design team to develop visually appealing and on-brand graphics, thumbnails and other multimedia assets
  • Coordinate content schedules and ensure a consistent posting cadence across platforms
  • Implement strategies to repurpose and distribute content effectively to maximize reach and engagement

4) Audience Engagement and Community Building:

  • Create an active and engaged online community by curating shareable content across platforms
  • Foster the community by responding to comments, messages and mentions in a timely and authentic manner
  • Collaborate with our portfolio companies, industry influencers, and thought leaders to amplify reach and engagement

5) Analytics and Performance Tracking:

  • Utilize social media analytics tools to track key performance metrics, analyze data, and derive insights to optimize growth strategies
  • Regularly report on social media performance, including follower growth, engagement rates, reach and conversion metrics
  • Identify areas for improvement and propose data-driven strategies to enhance our social media presence and drive continued organic growth

6) Social Listening and Trend Analysis:

  • Monitor social media conversations and trends related to the industry, brand, and competitors
  • Use social listening tools to gain insights into audience sentiment and preferences
  • Identify opportunities for brand mentions, collaborations, and partnerships

7) Trends and Best Practices:

  • Stay up to date with the latest social media trends, platform updates, and algorithm changes
  • Research and implement new features and tools that can enhance the social media strategy

What you will learn:

  • Skills in data analysis, utilizing social media analytics tools to drive growth and measure performance
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple social media platforms simultaneously

What do we look for:

Qualifications & Skill Set

  • Proven track record as a Social Media Manager or similar role, with 5-10 years of experience, having organically grown platforms like YouTube, Twitter and Instagram
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, algorithms and best practices for organic growth
  • Proficiency in social media analytics tools to track performance and identify growth opportunities
  • Prior experience creating video content including end-to-end production
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and interact effectively with internal stakeholders
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas and adapt to emerging trends
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple social media platforms simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
